* duplicated clone elimination
* magic numbers are replaced with constants
* functions are moved form util to lit-char-helpers

d190ca44ae Storing byte code size in the byte code header. This reduces the 
memory consumption, because the new allocator uses less memory if
the size as available when a block is freed. Snapshot generation
is also simplified.

977bfa5d2c Remove g++ support from the [C]Make files. 
Move all '.cpp' files to '.c'.
Rename comments from 'cpp' to 'c'.
